Last updated 19 August 2026

This is a plain-language starting point written by the people who built the site, not by a lawyer. Have it reviewed before you rely on it.

The full list is two entries long, and both are strictly necessary. There is no consent banner because there is nothing here to consent to yet.

No analytics, no tracking

There is no Google Analytics, no pixel, no heatmap tool, and no cross-site tracker. Nothing measures your behaviour on this site.

Advertising cookies

The free plan is ad-supported, and the network is Google AdSense. Its script loads on every page you see on the free plan, and it can set cookies of its own — including on pages where no ad is actually displayed, which is the case while our account is still under review.

Advertising cookies are not strictly necessary, so they need your consent. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google’s consent message appears before personalised advertising is served, and refusing is a real option rather than a way to be asked again — you can change your answer later from the link in that message.

On the Pro plan the advertising script is never sent to your browser at all, so none of these cookies exist for you. That is not a setting you have to find: it is what the plan is. What we ourselves collect, which is far less, is set out on the privacy page.

Cloudflare

This site sits behind Cloudflare, which may set its own cookies for security and bot filtering on some requests. Those are outside our control and are covered by Cloudflare’s own policy.

Refusing them

Your browser can block or clear cookies for this site at any time. Both entries above are functional rather than tracking, so blocking them costs you something concrete: without the session cookie you cannot stay signed in or use favourites, and without the theme entry the page falls back to your operating system setting on every visit.

Everything else — generating names, checking availability, copying results — works with cookies fully blocked.
