Terms of use

Last updated 11 August 2026

This is a plain-language starting point written by the people who built the site, not by a lawyer. Have it reviewed before you rely on it.

By using this site you agree to what follows. It is short on purpose.

What this service does

It generates candidate .com domain names from a word you supply, and reports whether each one appears to be registered, using live registry data at the moment you run the check.

We are not a registrar. We cannot sell, reserve, or hold a domain for you.

Availability results are a snapshot, not a guarantee

A name reported as available was unregistered at the moment we checked. Domains are registered continuously and by anyone, so a name can be gone seconds later. Names reported as Unknown mean a lookup failed — they are not a verdict either way.

Do not treat a result here as confirmation that a name is yours to use. Availability is not the same as being legally clear to use: a domain can be unregistered and still infringe a trademark. That check is yours to make.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for anything done through your account. Use an address you actually control. Tell us if you think someone else has access.

You can delete your account at any time, which removes your saved names with it.

Acceptable use

Do not:

  • script or scrape the availability endpoint beyond the published rate limits, or work around those limits
  • use the service to build a competing bulk-lookup product, or to resell registry data
  • attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service or other people’s accounts

Rate limits exist because every lookup costs us a request to the registry. Abuse gets the whole service throttled, so we enforce this.

Registrar links

Register links point to third-party registrars, and we may earn a commission if you buy through one. That never changes which names we show you or whether a name is reported available — the generator and the availability check know nothing about commissions.

No warranty, and limits on liability

The service is provided as-is. We do not promise it will be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors, and we do not guarantee that any result is accurate or current.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from your use of the service — including a name being taken before you register it, a result being wrong, or the service being unavailable when you needed it.

Changes and ending access

We may change these terms; the date at the top will change with them. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

We may suspend access that breaks these terms, and you may stop using the service whenever you like.
