Questions people actually ask
- Do you register the domain for me?
- No. This tool finds names and tells you whether they are available. You register wherever you prefer — the Register link opens a search at a registrar, and we may earn a commission if you buy through it.
- How accurate is “available”?
- A name is reported available only when a live registry check positively confirms it is unregistered, which is as authoritative as .com gets. Anything that errors or times out is reported as Unknown, never as available.
- Is there a limit on how many names I can check?
- Not with an account, and the account is free. Signed out, you can check 100 names before we ask you to make one — a full generated list, checked end to end. Signed in, checking is unlimited. The wall exists because every check costs a live registry lookup from our address, and registries limit those by address: without it, one scraper takes availability checks away from everybody.
- Why do I have to sign in to save a name?
- A saved name has to belong to someone, or it cannot survive you closing the tab. Generating needs no account at all, and neither does a first session of checking.
- What happens to my saved names?
- They stay in your account until you remove them. We do not sell them, share them, or register them ourselves.
